After an even battle in the first set, with Kirilenko immediately breaking Hantchukova's first game, Hanchukova was able to come back when Kirilenko served at 5-3 for the first set to 5-4. games won and so a tiebreak came into play.
Then, after very exciting rallies, Kirilenko finally emerged and won the tiebreak 7-4.
After a short intermission break from Kirilenko, which she also repeated again after the end of the second set and where you have to wonder whether her previous marathon matches had not cost her too much energy, Hantchukova started energetically.

Daniela Hanchuchove extended her title for the first time in her life and now has 5 WTA titles to her name against Kirilenko who also has 5, but has already been in 10 finals.

The doubles final also became an exciting 3 setter between Sania Mirza and Anastasia Rodionova against Chan Hao-Ching and Yung-Jan Chan, with a tiebreak as apotheosis. In the end the winners were the first placed duo Mirza/Rodionova 3-6,6-1, and 10-8!. It was Sania Mirza's 13th title and the first with Rodionova.
