Every Saturday and Sunday from November to February you can visit the Naklua weekend market near Pattaya. Popularly, the Nakluaroad is already called the Naklua Walking Street, but this is not at all comparable to Walking Street in Pattaya.

From 16.00:22.00 pm to XNUMX:XNUMX pm, the Groteboom/Vismarkt changes into a large pedestrian street, the Naklua weekend market. A cozy market where you can stroll along the stalls and stalls. Don't expect dazzling shows or special merchandise, but it is certainly a pleasant stay. Try some of the many Thai dishes. Plenty of choice, hot, cold, spicy and sweet. A real taste sensation.

If you look carefully, you will find nice articles. At the end of the market over the bridge there is even second-hand merchandise, the haggling can begin. The bridge itself is occupied by a large stage where a live band performs with excellent music. You can sit down at the tables and enjoy a beer. For large consumers, there are liter jugs from which you can tap your own beer.

Authentic

The stalls are manned by the people from Naklua, so a real authentic market. There are stages set up in two places where you can regularly hear Thai music or Thai dances. Again mainly by the local population.

It is a lot busier during the birthday of the King and Loy Kathong. There are then a number of extra events such as a boxing gala and a concert on the large square on the water. It's worth a visit.

The market should reopen in November this year. Whether that will actually work remains to be seen. Some issues have arisen that might make it impossible. Due to the great interest, it is sometimes difficult to park there. The local youth also causes some nuisance. I've never noticed that myself and it would be a shame if a few bad guys ruin it for the rest.

Let's hope that it will be that time again in November and that we can go to this cozy Thai market again. I can heartily recommend it.
