Who has experience with the Globetrotter Insurance for long trips?

I want to travel around the world in the near future, with Thailand also being visited regularly for a few months.
Does anyone have experience with Allianz Global Assistance's Globetrotter Insurance: www.reisverzekeringkorting.nl/globetrotter_verzekering/
You could insure up to a maximum of 24 months including medical expenses for an affordable price of approximately € 1500 for this period. The condition would be that you must still be living in the Netherlands when you take out this policy. But you could terminate your health insurance during this period and you are insured in the Netherlands for a maximum of 21 days, if that falls within your travel program.

Those full medical expenses only apply if you deregister in NED. Then close it before you do.
My experience is positive.
I have no experience with the Globetrotter Insurance, but I do want to draw your attention to the fact that you cannot just terminate the Dutch health insurance policy. This is compulsory for everyone who is registered in the Netherlands. You will therefore have to deregister from the Municipal Personal Records Database (BRP) in the municipality where you live. This is obligatory if you are staying abroad for more than 8 months. The consequence of this is also that you may be cut back on the future AOW benefit, unless you voluntarily pay a certain amount for each unregistered year. If not, a lifelong reduction of 2% per unpaid AOW contribution per year will take place in due course. Traveling the world can be a fantastic adventure, but there are also consequences involved.
