Dear readers,

We are going to travel around Thailand in November but now it is not clear to me if I fly from Phuket to Pattaya and from Pattaya to Chiang Mai if I have to test before time if I am in possession of Phuket sandbox form? I can't find anything about this on a website or anything, most of what I find is all Thai. Does anyone here have info on this?

My thanks are great.

Regards,

Fokke

Ten days ago I flew from Phuket to Bangkok Don Muang with Nok Air and from there a few hours later to Roi Et with Air Asia. No need to do a test. Of course, show the PSB certificate (which you get from the hotel when you check out) and the yellow vaccination booklet. Everything was fine with that.

    Dear Fokke,
The rules about domestic travel in Thailand change often and quickly and differ per region. Even the local puuyaibaan can apply his/her own rules. At the moment it is necessary to show a test and/or full vaccination to enter Phuket. But not to leave Phuket. Your sandbox ticket is only valid when you are traveling directly from Phuket. After that it is outdated.
Travel between the provinces seems to be allowed at the moment. I also see people from so-called dark red areas such as Bangkok arriving here in the north, without vaccination, without testing, without home quarantine.
If you are going to fly, ask the airline what rules they apply at that time.

    Dear Fokke,

After my quarantine, I received a very nice white folder, with a statement that I had successfully completed the quarantine and an official paper from the government that I was fully vaccinated in Thai's

At this time and certainly after November 1, no further papers are required after a stay in Phuket. Incidentally, you do not fly to Pattaya but U-Tapao near Pattaya and Rayong and Sattahip.
Have you already booked transport and accommodation in Jomtien. [email protected] still has a studio available on the coast and can also pick you up from the airport when renting.
