Home » Reader question » Thailand question: How do I get a QR code vaccination certificate in Thailand
Dear readers,
I have been vaccinated in the Netherlands with 2x Pfizer, I am in possession of a yellow booklet and vaccination certificates. Have completed my ASQ in BKK, and have a letter from this and the result of the PCR test (3x negative).
How do I get a QR code in Thailand, because I heard that it is mandatory from October 1 if you want to go to a restaurant.
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Bert

Dear Bert!
A very good question. I have already asked my (Thai) wife about this and she says that it would not be a problem for me (vaccinated in NL but therefore also without a Thai QR) because I always want to sit outside at our favorite restaurant and no QR code outside. code is needed. But I can imagine that for many, especially the tourists, who are still happy to spend their money (including bars and restaurants), a solution will have to be found quickly.

You should have downloaded the App ThailandPlus on arrival in Thailand. I think this contains all the data of your COE. in your COE you have listed your vaccinations and have been approved by the Thai embassy.
Or bring a printout of your COE, which also contains the details of your vaccination.
Use this to register with the relevant App that generates that QR code.
Dear Bert,
I Have Been Vaccinated In Thailand & Owned Yellow Thai Vaccination Booklet…
My Thai Vaccination Documents In English..Type Of Vaccination..Lot/No..Date Etc..
Also equipped with a QR code.
I asked for a UK friend if he could also get a yellow Thai vaccination booklet, by showing his UK vaccination documents ( UK has (not yet) a yellow vaccination booklet..
That was explicitly not possible.. The Thai Vaccination booklet is only issued if vaccinated in Thailand!
So I think that this problem can only be solved if clear agreements can be made between NL/BE or the EU and TH..!!
The Embassy is reading along..So ladies/gentlemen In BKK of the NL/BE Embassies please find a solution?
Best regards.
Been in the “Sandbox v Phuket” for over a week now.
And I come straight from a restaurant, just like yesterday and the whole week before, but I didn't have to show a single negative test anywhere.
Welcome to Thailand
Hello Bert,
It is not yet clear how it will be checked whether you are vaccinated.
My advice would be, always take your yellow booklet and passport with you when you visit a restaurant.
In Thailand you have various proofs to show that you have been vaccinated. See https://www.thailandblog.nl/lezers-inzending/lezersinzending-de-verschillende-gedaantes-van-een-thaise-covid-vaccinatiebewijs/. As you can see, the QR code in Thailand is implemented differently than the NL version, since privacy is not an issue in Thailand.
You can still try to ask the question at the Thai GGD [ [email protected] ] whether the vaccination history from your yellow booklet can be converted to the Health Pass in the Mor Prom app. Another option is to visit the Public Health office of the province where you are staying in Thailand and ask the same question.
I have not read nor been asked for a QR code in any restaurant in Pattaya eo since October 1.
When you have the Thailand plus on your phone, you also have the scan QR code.
But many feel that too much of the government here for me can't be strict enough.
I have this on my phone and I'm at ease.
They can feel free to know where I am.
