Hello all! Ik Departure, the iconic TV program that is very popular in the Netherlands, is getting a Flemish version.

VTM and production house Lecter Media are looking for couples and families who want to leave everything behind for good to start a new life and a business abroad, for example Thailand.

In Ik Departure, the families are followed, from the first preparations in Belgium and the emotional farewell to their family, to the arrival in a foreign country and the opening of their business.

Do you have big plans abroad? Register quickly via vtm.be/register-before-I-departure.

If you have any questions, you can always email to [email protected]† See you soon!

I'm afraid you're going to get little or no responses for Thailand at the moment and by extension this applies to the whole of the Zo-Asia region I'm afraid. Many of the expats have closed their business due to a lack of tourists, so starting something up there now is hopeless, I'm afraid. expect little improvement until at least the end of next year.

That they immediately make a program with the fiascos that resulted from this. That wouldn't look out of place with the beautiful dreams of getting rich quickly abroad.

I've been following that program from the start and almost always it goes wrong. Especially in the early days.
You're just waiting for it and often see it coming from afar. There is always something to do with the takeover, house and utilities, permits, etc... But they often end well in the end.
But if nothing goes wrong, you are not interesting for their program, I sometimes think.
