Two Romanian fake agents and their accomplice have been arrested in Rotterdam. The men wanted to rob Thai tourists, but eyewitnesses and a number of construction workers put a stop to this.

The Thai family was walking near the Mauritsplaats in the center on Tuesday afternoon when one of the Romanians asked them to take a picture of him. At that moment, two men posing as police officers arrived.

They wanted to see wallets and passports and search the tourists. The fake agents managed to steal a thousand euros from a fanny pack.

A passerby heard the family screaming and stopped the thieves with the help of a number of construction workers. Other bystanders called the police and managed to retrieve the fake police badge that the Romanians had thrown into the water. The Romanians are trapped.

Happened to me personally too.. years ago in Budapest.
clever piece of play and my purse was stolen in the blink of an eye.
Tried and tested method of Eastern blockers.. I was then told by the police.
In the Netherlands they visit the tourists from Asia because of their respect and
    respect for the police.

It's good that these Romanians were arrested quickly, it's a pity that they're probably already walking around freely again after they've had a firm reprimand that this working method is not appreciated by many people in the Netherlands. TIH (this is holland)
