A 57-year-old Belgian was found dead in his apartment in Pattaya last night. Although the cause of death has not yet been determined, the police assume heart failure.

The man comes from Heist-op-den-Berg. He had been living and working in Thailand for several years. He was found dead in his apartment yesterday. Emergency services tried to resuscitate him, but all help came too late.

His body has been taken to hospital for an autopsy. The results of this are not yet known.

    It concerns André Van Dyck.
I knew him quite well. We used to go out for drinks together and went to Thailand together a few times.

    RIP Dre

      Hi Ronnie,

I am one of Dré's friends from his circle of friends in Belgium. We were quite shocked when we heard the news. None of us have heard from him in the last year. We had hoped to find something about him on the internet; photos, clues about what his life may have been like, ... but we find nothing. Until I read here that you knew him in Thailand. Could you tell us more about his last years, and do you have any photos? We would be very grateful.

      Regards,
      Wim

There are certain areas in Pattaya where things like that happen.
All in innocence, of course. Soi Khao Talo.
The top is Soi Bekauw with the market every Tuesday and Friday. Lots and lots of whorehouses and shady hotels.
You wouldn't believe what happened there. I think 80% of all misery is never revealed.
    Cor van Kampen.
