During the Travel Prices Action Week from 17 to 21 June, the Consumers' Association will press travel providers directly for fair travel prices.

Bart Combée, director of the Consumers' Association: 'We still see artificially low advertising prices, pre-set ticks, hidden costs and dubious surcharges. Far too large a part of the travel sector misleads consumers. That must come to an end!'. If the parties do not respond to the call, the Consumers' Association will consider further steps.

Today (June 17) the Consumers' Association will launch a zeppelin along the A4 (near exit 5 Roelofarendsveen) with the warning: 'Attention, World Ticket Center charges extra costs!'. Other organizations that the Consumers' Association will campaign against this week are: Solmar Tours, Center Parcs, Arke, Kras, Bizztravel, Landal and Belvilla.

60 surveyed websites

In the Consumer Guide of January 2013, the Consumer Association concluded that none of the 60 researched travel websites complies 100% with the rules for fair prices. Consumers could, among other things, report to the Travel Prices Reporting Center which travel providers are guilty of unfair prices. Hundreds of reports came in, including about the companies that the Consumers' Association is tackling this week.

Not only these travel organizations do this. The airlines also advertise low prices and they are no longer available, but they do have a more expensive seat. I also tried a one-way ticket { return 6 to 700 but one way 11 to 1700 euros] Sorry, this is not possible for me.
