Thai Airways International suspends all flights until August

Thai Airways International postpones the resumption of its services until August. The airline is embroiled in legal proceedings before a bankruptcy court to rule on a restructuring plan for a restart.
Earlier, THAI had announced that it would probably fly again in July. Then the flight ban for commercial foreign flights that the Thai aviation authority had imposed due to the corona virus will end.
However, due to the airline's financial restructuring and going to bankruptcy court, the resumption of services has been delayed.

Thank you Thai Airways.
At least that is clear language now, no flights until August.
Hopefully everyone understands this message now, or maybe a few who will ask whether their flight will be able to continue in July.
Goodbye.
Following the Covid-19 pandemic, THAI would like to inform its passengers that it will continue to temporarily cancel flights on the Brussels-Bangkok route. from July 3 to July 31, 2020.
The first flight Bangkok-Brussels-Bangkok (TG934 / TG935) will start on 2 August 2020 and 3 flights per week (operating on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays) will continue until 25 October 2020.
THAI allows rebooking of your canceled flights and extending the validity of your ticket until December 31, 2021, but for rebooking, extending the validity or requesting a refund of your tickets, please:
– Please contact your travel agent if the original booking on THAI was purchased through a travel agency.
– Please contact the THAI office of your ticket departure, if you booked directly on the THAI website
All info and contact details of all THAI offices can be found at https://www.thaiairways.com/en_BE/contact_us/thai_special_assistance_form.page
We apologize for the inconvenience.
The bullet is through the church ... so it becomes clear that those who still have a ticket from Thai Airways can shake it and whistle for their money because you can't pluck from a bald chicken.
Thai Airways has suffered losses for years and Covid19 has literally and figuratively dealt the death blow.

So never ask for a refund. Then you end up at the back of the queue of creditors.
With a voucher you still have the chance to book another flight if they ever fly again.
Would mean that all this will soon be over so that we can go on holiday to the great country again.
We all know it's difficult for everyone so quickly a vaccine.

First flight : 02/08/20 , 3 flights per week : Tue-Fri- and Sunday .
Bangkok – Brussels – Bangkok: TG934 / TG935 .
If nothing changes in the meantime, of course.
I would assume they don't fly anymore. Then it does not disappoint. Pay a little more and fly with Emirates or KLM. Then you know for sure that you are in the right place.
– had another flight booked on 15/07…..cancelled!
– had another flight booked from Bangkok on 19/5 ….. canceled !
– still have a booking open for 3/10 !!!
Does anyone know how to get a voucher or how to get my money back?
Thank you.
How many weeks in advance did they let you know that your flight was cancelled?
If you immediately paid by credit card, you can claim the money back from them due to services not provided. After all the paperwork was processed I had my money back after 2 weeks
Hi Harm,
How did you do that ?
Can you give more info?
My credit card bank first said your travel insurance and if that doesn't work legal assistance and it still doesn't work then we help.
Hi Patrick,
I called the phone number on the back of the CC, in this case Mastercard from Rabobank and explained the situation to them. Thai has canceled the flight, they offer free rebooking. I do not agree, the service has not been provided.
I then had to physically send all emails and then they contact Thai. They didn't respond so they give the gel back (for now).
I hope you can do something with it.
Good luck!!
Harm
I tried, but my bank told me that pandemic is not covered in insurance. What should I do?
We would fly from Brussels to Bangkok on Monday 3 August. So there is a good chance that it will be canceled then. Because I read everywhere that they will only do 3 flights a week (Tuesday, Friday, Sunday)
