The Meteorological Department warns that a lot of rain may fall in parts of Thailand in the coming days, causing flooding.

From Saturday to Monday, heavy showers are expected in the East, South and the Central region including Bangkok. On Friday, a high-pressure area from China expanded over northern Thailand and the monsoon trough moved toward the central region and east.

The southwest monsoon is strongest over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand.

Been in Thailand for almost 3 weeks now and from Pattaya to Krabi now on Koh Lanta, every time rain and nuisance was predicted. In those 3 weeks, I have had a really good tropical shower 1 time during the day on Krabi and 3 times in the evening (2x Pattaya and last night on Koh Lanta). For the rest beautiful weather, if this is heavy rain and nuisance then I sign for it.
