If you live abroad and have Dutch nationality, you can apply for a DigiD at a number of municipalities in the Netherlands and from 18 November 2015 also at the Dutch Embassy in Bangkok.

Before you visit the consular department (Monday – Friday between 8:30-11:00 am) to collect your DigiD activation code, you must application process have gone through. The embassy cannot help you if you have not gone through the application process prior to your arrival

Why DigiD?

You are not legally obliged to use a DigiD. However, more and more government organizations in the Netherlands require DigiD to access their services via the internet.
