Reader question: Where are nice markets in Pattaya?
Dear readers,
I have a question, because I love the markets in Thailand, but where can I find the markets in Pattaya. There are so many conflicting messages on the internet.
I love walking through these markets both during the day and in the evening.
Thanks in advance,
Brenda
Hello Brenda,
I myself also enjoy walking through a market, but I don't like it when it is very busy….
That's why a new big market has recently opened in North Pattaya, this market is called JJ Market or Chato chack market, this market is from the same family as in Bangkok, and I think this is the biggest market in pattaya.
It is nice to walk because there is enough space to walk, and you can also eat well, and you get the best Smoothie's at Kuki's Smoothie's and there you can also sit and watch the world go by!!!!
There are about 2400 stalls, and you can get everything a woman likes…..
Greetings and have fun on the market.
Johnny from Pattaya
Tuesday market in soi buakhaw
Busy very busy narrow patjes warm many thay people
Definitely soi Buakhaw, this market is on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 am
The Thepprasit weekend market is also worth a visit….
Greetings and have fun there, Joop
hey Brenda, every tuesday & friday morning on soi buakaw from 8.00am to 16.00pm…
have fun shopping!!!!
Markets.
Friday Saturday Sunday on Threpasit road against lotus sukhumvit.
Tuesday Friday against tukom pay attention to a lot of control and driver's license.
Very nice on weekends (Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday evening) Theprassit market on theprassit road. Great market to stroll and lots of good food.
Sometimes very busy but that also makes it fun. Certainly do
Hi johnny pattaya,
I can well imagine that you find it less fun to walk on a market when it is very busy.
But the fact that a new market has therefore been opened on Pattaya Nua is the pinnacle of customer friendliness.
So you see, those Thais take everyone into account. haha.
keep smiling
Leo Bosch.
Thanks for the responses then I know what to do in essence, I'm looking forward to it again.
Johnny is the JJ market a night market or a day market and on which days.
Markets:
Naklua Road towards soi 12 and beyond:
1st shoe/clothing market and a lot further
2nd fresh fish market with fishing boats and cozy park
Pattaya Nua near Pattaya Bazaar.(Chato Chak)
Large modern market: clothing – footwear – jewellery
Pattaya Thai at soi 18 – 20 -22 (buakhaw) Tuesday/Friday market
Everything crammed together, hardly / no parking options (paid)
Tepprasit road: 3 markets.
Every afternoon/evening at the petrol station “antique market/flea market”
A little further a modern covered market daily, next to the new theater (coloseum)
Friday, Saturday, Sunday market at the beginning of the Tepprasit very large with many articles.
Advice: park at Lotus and walk 10 minutes to the market due to the heavy traffic
(Amazing Thailand!)
The Floating Market on the Sukhumvit Road towards Sattahip.
The market is on the water.
Have fun,
Sincerely,
Lodewijk
Hello Brenda,
Yes, JJ market in north pattaya normally opens at 14.00pm but most of the vendors don't come until around 17.00pm to 23.00pm.
I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun shopping at this market.......
Greetings and enjoy.
Johnny Pattaya
The second road ends at the roundabout with the dolphins. A hundred meters earlier, a new market was opened on the right. Literally hundreds of booths are there. Open in the afternoon to late evening. Literally everything is for sale there!
Good luck!.
Hello Kor,
That is the JJmarket or Chato Chak near soi 42
if you go there from the second road.
Sincerely,
Lodewijk
Halfway through Sawang Fa road in Naklua is a nice cozy covered market with mainly fresh products and food. Every day from the afternoon until about 8 o'clock. A few 100 meters past the large post office on the same side of the street.
