Dear readers,

My question is about the Test and Go procedure. Discussed over and over, very extensively. Something is missing, namely the following. An official Thai website states the following in case of a positive PCR test after a recent covid infection:

I have previously been infected with COVID-19; can I travel to Thailand?

  • Yes. Those previously infected with COVID-19 are considered fully vaccinated if they received a single dose of COVID-19 vaccine at any point after their recovery. Please note that your proof or medical record of recovery from COVID-19 must be submitted along with your single dose vaccination certificate.
  • If you were fully vaccinated before contracting COVID-19, you are still considered fully vaccinated.
  • Those who have recovered from COVID-3 within 19 months prior to travel to Thailand must provide a valid COVID-19 recovery form or medical certificate proving that they have recovered from COVID-3 within 19 months prior to travel or are asymptomatic in in case their COVID-19-19 RT-PCR test gives a positive result.

Do you know what this means exactly, do you have sources that can confirm this? Per tests can turn out positive up to 8 weeks after experiencing a covid infection. It would be annoying if you had a ticket 4 weeks after recovery that you would like to use.

    Indeed a very good question that I do not think can be answered with certainty. I'm having the same problem (am Belgian) currently in Belgium. Vaccinated three times. Ill on 10/1/22 positive PCR test on 11/01, Get a certificate in 3 languages ​​recovery certificate valid until 10-07-22. But what is the value of this if you do not arrive sick in Thailand and still test positive?
