Home » Reader question » Reader Question: Where in Chiangmai can I get proof of life (pension funds)?
Dear readers,
A question about the living proof. Got that for SVB at the SSO, but they didn't know where to get that for pension funds. In my case ABP and Zorg & Welzijn.
Who knows where I can get that in Chiangmai?
Regards,
Do
Do you not receive an AOW life certificate that you have completed at the SSO? I also have an ABP and PFZW pension, which accept proof of AOW.
No idea, but if you draw state pension and have drawn up a proof of life for the SVB at the SSO dsn, you do not have to submit a proof of life for the ABP.
The SVB and ABP are linked, so the SVB passes on that you are still alive.
For the sake of zejerheid, you could contact ABP and care and welfare via their site.
success
The ABP automatically adheres to the statement made by the Social Security Office SSO. From my experience, you don't need to do anything about it. The same could apply to Healthcare and Welfare, but I don't know.
I managed to get a company pension fund (Zwitserleven) to accept the certificate of life from the SSO even if it is not older than a few months.
In the meantime I have been able to get the proof of life for 3 pension funds (1 SVB, 1 ABP and 1 Zwitserleven) aligned; all 3 accept proof of the SSO, as said, provided they are not too far apart in terms of dating.
I think you can send a copy of the SVB statement, stamped by SSO, to the pension fund
Social Security Office Chiang Mai

The sign of life from SVB is also valid for care and welfare. Ergo I have not had to send a sign of life to care and welfare for a few years now, they have informed me that they spontaneously receive a message from the SVB regarding a life sign,
I think the ABP is participating in this
Send your complete SVB form to them and ask if this is sufficient, then you will receive the correct response
I was recently in Chiang rai at the SSO. Very nicely helped by the employees there. All credit goes to the SSO in Chiang rai.
Hello Friday I went to 5 places to get my life certificate stamped in Khon Kaen
The 6th place was prize at the farang polis, 1000 bath and was ok
The 5 other places could not be done
Greetings game
Dear Will,
I also have a pension from the ABP.
There is an exchange between the SVB(AOW) and the ABP. I have always only worked with the SSO since I received my pension and AOW.
If all goes well, you have not received a request from the ABP to complete an attesta de Vita.
I don't know if there is also such a link with care and welfare, but an email to their info desk will certainly help you further.
You received a copy of the letter to send to the SCB at the Chiang Mai SSO. My two pension funds were happy to send that copy. I did call the pension funds first to see if they agreed. They thought that was fine, because the SSO is a state organization.
Ask if your pension fund accepts a copy of the SSO.
The proof of the sso for the svb is automatically taken over by the ABP. You do not have to submit anything for that. I don't know about health care and welfare, but that can be inquired.
regards bert
I got it at the local hospital for 80 baht
Yes Rob,
You have made sense, because the hospital is THE institution where you can always go, also for an estate de vitea!
Dear Will,
It is customary for the SVB and the pension funds to send this on their own initiative.
At least, that's my experience.
If in doubt, contact them. I would say.
Here in Buriram I go to my doctor for my PMT life certificate, there I get a free stamp + signature and that is accepted by PMT, you can also go to the hospital or town hall.
You can also use the proof for the SVB for the pension funds.
That way you get everything on a date… just send a copy to pension funds by e-mail
For my state pension, I have to have my life certificate signed at the SSO office, which can be found in most provincial capitals, and I have to send it by post, or possibly via the internet,
for my life certificate from the pension fund at NN, formerly Delta Lloyd, I only need to send proof (via email) of the last state pension credit to my ING account, and this is accepted by NN
Jan
Dear Will,
Almost every pension fund (certainly also B&W) also accepts a copy of the life certificate from the SVB!
Assist Thai Visa Services on Chiang Mai Land Road has a notary. He can sign the proof of life and put an official stamp on it. Takes a few days, because the notary is not always present. Costs 1000 Baht.
In addition to AOW, I have a pension
*KLM
* Delta Lloyd and
* Aeon.
I send SSO stamped/signed proof of life to SVB (just upload it to my account) and Kees (Teun) is ready. The three companies mentioned apparently have access to SVB in this area.

Dear Will,
From experience I can confirm with certainty what has been said by some about this.
ABP will be informed by the SVB as soon as the form has been received. You therefore do not have to do anything for that pension fund.
PFZW does not yet have an automatic connection with SVB. But they are satisfied with a copy of the signed SVB form. Of course you have to send it yourself.
I went to the SSO a few months ago with the ABP letter for the empathetic statement in the city of Lamphun got zero on my request.
This is ABP and no SVB they then, they even advised me to go to the Dutch embassy in Chiangmai, I had to laugh then.
Just like before my PMT pension, I went to a private hospital (so no clinic) here in Lamphun and signed a head doctor.
Both have been accepted. A few weeks later my SVB arrived, it was signed again to the SSO in Lamphun and it was back outside within fifteen minutes.
Jan Beute.
Care and welfare also accepts a copy of what I use for the SVB, but does not want to receive it by email, only real mail.
I wouldn't count too much on that automatic passing on. A few years ago I received a letter from Aegon stating that I did not have to send a life certificate from now on because they received this “automatically” from the SVB. Confirmed again by a friendly lady via email, “You don't have to do anything (sic!) from now on” . Two years later I received a letter from Aegon, dear Sir, I have still not received your life certificate. This resulted in an extra trip to the Dutch Embassy, because I used to combine the life certificates in one trip per year. Their “prepaid postage” envelopes were also never accepted by a Thai post office.
At PFV I call online with Skype, with my face + passport in front of the camera and done, seconds later I receive a confirmation by email from them and done, why all the hassle when it can be done so easily!
