Dear readers,

I do not want to talk about the joys of a stay in Thailand, well known to Thailandblog readers. For a few, however, the pleasure is sometimes disturbed by an unpleasant event, sometimes by bad luck, naiveté, ignorance or - not infrequently - stupidity.

Earlier this week I was talking to an English friend who told me the following: “Late at night I get on a Baht bus on my way to my apartment. My fellow passengers are an older Farang and two unmistakable ladyboys to me. The "ladies" are nice to the old man, chatter with each other and see the man looking surprised, but expectantly at his score of two beautiful girls.

I was almost certain that the man had no idea that he was out with two men. Instead of a happy night, he might be literally, but certainly figuratively drained. I thought, I should have a chat with those three to at least make it clear to the man that he was out with ladyboys. I didn't do it anyway, but I kind of regret it. What do you think?"

I told him that I have a clear position on that matter. You did the right thing, don't interfere! The man could or should have known, but, as we all know, “love”, especially in Pattaya, is blind. Whoever burns his ass must sit on the blisters. Because if you had interfered, you ran a good chance that the two ladyboys would attack you or something like that.

What does the reader think? Am I right or do you have to warn a foreigner, who you think is wrong, about possible misery?

Sorry, but everyone knows when he's dealing with a ladyboy.
It's time for people to admit, for straight men to admit, for them ladyboys
find exciting. Gay doesn't like shemales. That nonsense of "I went to bed with a Thai woman, but it was a guy, has to end." Hypocritical, lying, bourgeois, etc.
Each his hip and meug. Act normal and be honest. Ladyboy: short time: try it out.
    Long time: rather not.

    Don't interfere.

If you already recognize both as a ladyboy, chances are that the man himself knew that too.

It is also possible that the man was specifically looking for ladyboys. There is also a large audience for ladyboys among foreigners in Pattaya. They don't have a street called boystown for nothing.

Just don't get involved, when I was in Bangkok at the beginning of this year I also spent a night with a ladyboy several times, really great! Like it! xx

I wouldn't do anything at all, firstly because 99.9% of men know very well that they are going with a ladyboy, and secondly, you shouldn't interfere in someone else's business, how often well-intentioned help has ended badly for the the 'helper'
In this case you run the risk that both parties, the tipsy farang and the ladyboy, can become angry, well then you have the dolls dancing!! believe me.
Let everyone have a good time is my motto and don't interfere.

Ad Herfs from the story at the top hits the nail on the head

Just do nothing. If you're in the same situation, they don't say anything either. Pattaya is a city where the women and ladyboys sit for their earnings, so love without money is not possible.

To consider a ladyboy as a kind of product is also wrong. I'm with a ladyboy but not much of a barmaid. To me she is a woman.

Boystown is also a street for gay lovers.
