Book a hotel with 2 PCR tests?
Dear readers,
My wife and I want to go to Hua Hin on March 16 for two weeks. Now I'm trying to book a hotel for the first night in Bangkok or Hua Hin with the SHA+ extra concept. But no matter what I'm looking for, only 1 PCR test is offered everywhere, while we really need two. I can't find anything to book a second test with it either.
Does anyone have any experience with this or advice on how I can fix this?

You just mean two tests for both of you, both on the first day? Yes, that's just included, the quarantine package is always per person. So when booking 2 people 2 tests, 3 people 3 tests etc. If in doubt you can also email the hotel for info I think.
I have been traveling to Thailand three times a year for several years (2 months on and 2 months off). After the covid outbreak, that changed, but since November with test and go possible again. Booked hotel via Agoda with quarantine package and that is very clearly indicated on the site. I am traveling again on March 15th and therefore still have to apply for the Thailand pass because until now it still wants to know the second night after 5 days and you will not get any further in the application without booking for it. So just wait until March 1.
Just stayed in Amari Hua Hin for 2 months. Had a great time and the great staff there will help you with testing. (Make appointment, come with you, print out test, etc.)
From March 1, a 2nd PCR test is no longer mandatory.
It is not about the 2nd test, but about the 1st, for 2 people.
We (3 golfers) are going to Hua Hin on March 5th. I asked a number of hotels about the prices to pick us up at BKK and then arrange the ritual of (then non the mandatory 2) PCR tests. Just for 3 golfers at once.
The VISA hotel came out as the friendliest price (perhaps because they know us because we have been coming there for 10 years). Booked and everyone received the confirmation of the package by name.

You and your wife want to go to Hua Hin for two weeks. Also only two weeks to Thailand? Or will you go somewhere else after Hua Hin? If you are only going to Thailand for two weeks, think carefully about what can happen if you, your wife or both test positive. Two weeks of quarantine, so away vacation.

I have already booked a hotel in Hua Hin and they have already sent all the forms required for the Thailand pass.
And Stan, two weeks in Thailand is short, but after more than two years you still want to return to this wonderful holiday destination.
