Dear readers,

My husband would like to have his eyes lasered in Thailand.

Does anyone have experience with this in Pattaya? If so, where and with whom?

Thanks for your comment.

Regards,

Tjitske

Hello, although good experiences with various other treatments: a very bad experience in Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. Despite various warnings from others, I went there anyway, but canceled at the last minute due to "bad feeling". Doctor wanted to laser both eyes, while only having problems in one eye. Then have it done in the Bumrungrat in Bangkok: perfect. Obviously only one eye and cheaper than in BPH. Maybe others have good experiences in other hospitals in Pattaya? Good luck!

I had a 'supersight surgery' done in BPH 4 years ago. I am 100% satisfied with it and can see everything clearly both up close and far away.

I recently posted an article about it on the internet. This can be read via the following link. http://www.levensgenieterblog.com/reizen/een-medische-ingreep-en-als-bonus-een-gratis-vakantie/

Costs for the treatment: I read 5000 euros, why would you travel to Thailand for that amount, in Belgium it costs 3500 euros!

I had both eyes lasered (lasik) in the bangkok pattaya hospital for 50.000 baht at the time.
I am very satisfied with the result. Not only can I see very well in the vertw again, even reading has become a lot better.
Immediately the next morning when I stood in the elevator I was amazed at the result.
Keep in mind that the first time in the evening there will be some glare when looking at light.
    To do!

Like Kees, I had it done in Bumrungrad and I am extremely satisfied with the result. Also only 1 eye. A very simple operation. Then a recovery time of about 10 days with 2 types of eye drops, a follow-up check also after a year in the price and sunglasses so that you do not accidentally rub your eyes. In the Bumrungrad hospital they speak perfect English and they have 1 million foreign patients per year. Gives a reliable impression. Good luck.

      Nora

Bumrungrad can be quite good and apparently you are satisfied. Well done.
My eyes are also not so good anymore and could also use a laser treatment, but..... 1 000 000 foreign patients per year?

That is – 2740 patients per day or 114 patients per hour or every minute 2 patients for a year straight without interruption!!!!!

They all need to be checked again.
In any case, I would open a shop with sunglasses nearby….

If these figures are as reliable as the treatment, I have my reservations.
Or am I reading it wrong?????

At an older age you should absolutely not have your eyes lasered, because that is often only temporary and can only be done once. Most take a supersight operation, or a new retina, but I cannot recommend this because I, and several friends, have a lot of problems with it. Keep your glasses on.

    I underwent it in PTY.

The 1st link tells it for research.
    The 2nd the operation,
And the 3rd and 4th something about the follow-up.

    Good luck.
