Reader question: Experience booking an open ticket from Bangkok
Dear All,
Who has experience booking an open air ticket from Bangkok to Amsterdam? Where can I best arrange this?
Sincerely,
Kees
It is best to book this with an airliner. However, these kind of ticketts are much more expensive. It is more difficult to book them via the I-Net. Sometimes a single flight out and back is cheaper. It will be nice to find out in the I-Net. Are you having a good time. Why an open ticket at all. ? Take a -regular- ticket and adjust the flight. that is sometimes much cheaper despite -the flight change-. Information can be found in the price table of each airliner. great martin
My experiences with open-ended tickets are that they are often quite expensive, especially if you take a long time period, so I no longer take open-ended tickets.
If you only care about the return journey from BKK-Ams, and you don't know the date yet, I would take a look at the Norwegian air website.
They have rather nice priced one-way tickets, BKK-AMS. Are you often cheaper than with open end. Jet Air also had that, but unfortunately they have stopped flying to BKK. Possibly Etihad as an alternative with a maximum stay of 12 months.
I like to be surprised with better suggestions, now sometimes book a return ticket whose return route is not used, actually a shame.
Hi Kees.
I always book with TV AIR BOOKING EMPORIUM ([email protected])
Flew back from BKK 25-09-2013 is open for 6 months and paid 25975 bath.
Good luck Harry.
last time an acquaintance of mine booked an open ticket at d travel. It was not as much lost as with a normal ticket. If I were you just shop on the internet, at 333 travel or bm travel. They arrange everything for you.
Hallo,
I booked an open ticket to Amsterdam twice with EVA air,
you can make that choice on their booking page. Validity period 3 months.
Always went well and I was never more expensive!
Groet

Inquire at thailand travel or bm air or 333 travel they can tell you everything.
greetings pierre
If you are staying in Jomtien or the surrounding area, there are also options close to home:
Travel agency “Amazone Travel” (NL management);
email= [email protected]
They have various options.
Have a nice flight.
Dear Kees
Just book a cheap ticket with Emirates or Etihad or China Air etc. Check the conditions to see what the date change costs and that's it.
But never with KLM because if you leave in 2 weeks and your mother dies you can just buy a new ticket. KLM can never reschedule you with cheap tickets.
Kind regards, Peter Yai
We always book our tickets with Caroline van Huigenbos from travelcounsellors.nl. She knows exactly which open ticket from each airline is the cheapest. If you look at their website you may also be able to find an agent near you. Good luck.
Hello Kees,
If an open ticket is so expensive, why not book first class.
Traveling is then very pleasant and you have a whole year to change.
I thought business class had a shorter time.
If you go to Thailand every year.
Buy a one-way ticket once and a return ams-bkk in Thailand.
We always did before we moved here.
good luck,
Louise
