After not having been to Thailand for more than 2 years, I plan to go again in January. Now that I'm retired I have all the time to myself and want to stay longer than my normal holiday of 4 weeks. I don't know how long yet, I plan to take a visa for 3 months, but does anyone have experience with a so-called flex ticket or is buying a one-way ticket more convenient in terms of price?

Are there people here on the blog who have experience with open air tickets? For clarification. I'm going to Thailand for half a year in the fall. If, for example, due to serious reasons (illness or ID), it is necessary to return early, I can leave quickly. What I especially want to know are the pros and cons. Like, are they return tickets? Are they more expensive? Society bound and you can leave quickly etc.etc.
