Dear readers,

Next week (February 8/9) our embassy will come to Pattaya with their mobile kit where you can register your biometric data. The appointment will take place at the 'InterContinental Pattaya Resort' hotel. I just learned that you are only allowed to enter the hotel after presenting a negative Covid ATK test. This was of course not told to us and is perhaps worth knowing for all who have arranged an appointment.

My question now is, can you take such a self-test yourself the day before? What is the scientific value of such a test? There is no name on it, let alone that people know when you took the test.

Maybe I'm worrying unnecessarily but all this is new to me. Who has experience with an ATK self-test and is it accepted without complaint if, in our case, one wants to visit the hotel?

Thanks for your answers.

Henry.
