You don't have to look for them along the great rivers Mun and Mekong. These mythical snakes with human traits and several menacing heads will naturally come at you during a trip along these rivers.

The Naga is considered the protector of the water in Thailand. The creature is said to have originated from sexual intercourse between humans and snakes. Naga queens are said to have dug the mighty Mekong on a journey.

This seven-headed naga stands on the Mekong quay in Si Chiang Mai, a sleepy spring roll town opposite the Laotian capital of Vientiane.

The most impressive is in Nakhon Phanom.
Entirely made of brass-like metal and spews water into the Mekong, if it does.
I have a picture but how do I send it.

I sometimes see Buddha statues with 7 snake heads behind them.
    Is that also symbolic?
