The GOOD NEWS FLASH is a periodic appearance to keep you informed where GOOD Foundation is doing and, among other things, to disseminate important, useful information through short announcements.

Radio Message

We, Dutch people abroad, also known as NIHB people, are increasingly being offered a media platform. Listen to it DigiD conversation on BNR radio.

DigiD status

Is DigiD already a headache file for many NIHB'ers? With the extra SMS security, introduced by the UWV benefit organization as of May 15 (or the two-step verification), for many it became a bridge too far. According to the UWV a written settlement can temporarily take place, although this will hardly be an adequate solution. But we want more than a temporary measure by post. Stichting GOED will soon talk to DigiD developer Logius/BiZa and UWV in the Netherlands to be able to arrange this in a fundamentally better way. The two-step verification will be gradually introduced by all authorities.

Double face D66?

Has D66, the party that is often given the impression of being sympathetic to the interests of NIHB members, is it wrong? As a proponent of introducing the two-step verification as soon as possible, no thought has been given to the consequences of this extra security for NIHB employees. We await D66's response to our letter about this.

Complaint Ombudsman

In response to the DigiD, among other things, a complaint is being prepared with the National Ombudsman. The fact that the government consistently neglects NIHB's interests and takes little or no weight in proposed government measures, is central to this. The Netherlands' largest minority group, the NIHB'ers, want to be taken seriously. The often unworkable or far too costly regulations must change.

New ambassadors

Together with our partners, we are already reaching a large group of NIHB people worldwide. With our new GOED Country Coordinators – in the corridors GLCs, or affectionately known as Gelsies, we will further expand both the support and the mutual connection; Welcome Bert Hermanussen, Henk Overbeeke and Marianne Tromp.
Do you have a large network, direct or indirect contact with the embassy of your country, passion to connect and help people, the ambition to become a GLC for GOOD yourself? Contact us!

Volunteers wanted

Volunteers are always welcome and much needed, should there be one or more enthusiastic Social Media gurus among our growing number of younger NIHB'ers? Then help us with Instagram and Twitter, but we also like to hear from people who feel more than at home on LinkedIn. For more information about volunteers and registration, see our website.

Support

As Thomas Alva Edison answered when asked about the invention of the light bulb; “We now know hundreds of ways in which it will not work, but it will work” we are steadily recruiting subsidies and sponsors. However, with that the "A cup of coffee" Of course, the action is not over yet. Come on folks let the stock market ring. What for the wealthy among us is only a snap a month, will improve all lives through and through GOOD.

In our next newsletter all about GOED's NATIONALITY ACTION!

A warm worldly greeting from the GOOD team,

Max, Antonietta, Henk K, Adrianna, Nienke, Ditte, Tecla, Ron, Bert, Henk O, Ben, Marianne, Paul and Kris
