It has been asked a few times: how do I get hold of The Best of Thailand Blog, the booklet with columns and articles from eighteen regular bloggers, a spicy quiz, photos and tips for tourists?

We'll explain that in detail when the booklet comes out. At the moment there is still an advertisement in the left column of the blog with 'Coming soon'; from the end of July it will say 'Order: click here' and then a page with instructions will open.

You can order in due course via an email address, pay via a Dutch bank account and Aunt Pos will deliver the booklet to your home. There will also be four pick-up addresses in Thailand: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hua Hin (Pim Hoonhout) and Pattaya (Dick Koger). In Bangkok (Dick van der Lugt) and Chiang Mai (Tino Kuis) you can pay in cash.

The payment method for expats with a Thai bank account is slightly more complicated. We have also come up with a solution for that. It's our first time doing this, so we hope it all goes well.

The most important part of the whole operation is of course the good cause. We wrote about it before: the proceeds, after deducting costs, go to Operation Smile Thailand. We have tried to keep the costs as low as possible. For example, we managed to find a notary who founded the Thailandblog Charity foundation (which formally publishes the booklet) for a modest amount. Thank you!

250 copies of the booklet will be printed. If we are short, we can reorder it, which has a production time of six days. The booklet is produced by Free Musketeers, a company that delivers excellent craftsmanship, as we found out during a visit to the office in Zoetermeer. Nice people too, who think along.
