Pineapple in Thailand
Every day you see the numerous motorized or non-motorized carts with fresh fruit driving through the city. In a glass or plastic display case, the fruit is kept cool by bars of ice and if you feel like it, the saleswoman will prepare a nice portion of bite-sized fruit chunks for you.

Reader Submission: Bravo to Thailandblog!
I've been reading the Thailand blog almost every day since it was founded, usually fascinating and always interesting. Since I lived there for my work for five years, with all the ups and downs, Thailand has kept my warm interest and I still like to come there regularly. My interest is fueled to a large extent every day, at least kept warm by the Thailand blog.

“You should read Thailandblog better”
Every once in a while I get the hiccups from Thailandblog and I'm going to tell you why. For many years I have had a nice LAT relationship with my girlfriend who, just like me, lost her partner very suddenly. Together we have been to Thailand several times and she has therefore become an avid reader of the blog.
From the editors: Thailandblog even faster and more secure with HTTPS
As the largest weblog about Thailand, you must of course also be at the forefront of performance and safety for visitors. That is why we want to share a number of changes on our website with you.
1000 times Thailand blog: a look back
This is my thousandth contribution to Thailandblog, a milestone indeed and who would have ever thought? Not me in any case. From December 2010 some of my stories appeared for the first time. By then I had been living permanently in Thailand for about 5 years and had sent many E-mails to family, friends and acquaintances in the Netherlands since the beginning of my stay here.

My thoughts on Thailand blog
Less than a year ago Thailandblog was completely unknown to De Inquisitor. His writings were published on the website of his favorite pub and he was pleased that friends and bar acquaintances were not sure whether he was the author. It was in that pub that someone informed De Inquisitor of the existence of Thailandblog. He can't help but read that blog….
10.000th article on Thailandblog: How I became a blog writer
Today is a special day, because we are proud to announce that this posting by Gringo is the 10.000th article on Thailandblog.
Thailandblog is 5 years old
Thailandblog exists exactly 5 years today. That's special; starting something is easy, but few manage to keep a blog day in and day out. Peter succeeded and not only him, because without the help of many others the blog could never have reached this milestone. Therefore: Happy Birthday, Peter and all employees!
Three years of Thailand blog
'Working for Thailandblog gives me great pleasure. It keeps me off the streets and (usually) out of the pub. But more importantly it increases my knowledge of Thailand, although not always my understanding.' Dick van der Lugt (67) looks back on three years of Thailand blog.
The new year can begin
Oliebollen, apple turnovers, champagne, sparklers and heavier fireworks: they are all part of the turn of the year, but it is not complete without a New Year's reception. Thailandblog will hold its first New Year's reception on January 12.
Kees Roijter: Thailand blog has become my friend
Kees Roijter tells how he discovered Thailand blog two years ago and what role the blog now plays in his life.
Dick Koger in Pattaya sold 25 copies of 'The Best of Thailand Blog' last year. And that's why we're proclaiming him Salesman of the Year. He still has 7 copies. Who releases him?
