KLM scraps flight attendants on long flights
KLM airline wants one less steward or stewardess on board in Economy Class before the start of the winter season on long flights. The measure should result in significant savings.
According to KLM, the measure is necessary to achieve the desired productivity improvement of four percent. With effect from 30 October, KLM will therefore be flying in Economy Class on 300% of long-haul flights with one less cabin attendant. These are flights with '777 seaters' such as the Boeing 200-330, Airbus 300-787 and Boeing XNUMX.
According to the trade union FNV, one less steward or stewardess on board has negative consequences for the workload of staff because the workload increases by 15 to 20 percent. The union thinks it is at the expense of staff and customers.
And what 's next , bring your own sandwiches and drinks ? And then say that their "service" could already be counted among the least in aviation.
LL flew to Bangkok with KLM and found the service very good. Voila!
I have more admiration for the employees of McDonalds than for the "catering employees" of KLM. On an 11 a.m. flight to Bangkok, they spend an hour handing out meals. After that, behind closed curtains for quite a few hours, they retire for mutual chatter and sleep I think. Same thing when it's time for breakfast again, about an hour are spent distributing and collecting. And then it's almost arrival time. Boy what hard work and pressure they have, yes with each other ... When you talk about work pressure look at other positions in the service industry such as hospitality, tourism and more and then realize that they are luxury jobs as flying catering employees.
Time to put the consumption to the business and get rid of unnecessary staff.
Should air france be supported in this way that bunch of egoists who only strike at the slightest thing.
It is better for KLM to leave Air France KLM and possibly cooperate with Lufthansa. Lufthansa's mentality suits KLM better than that of Air France.

Why not one less pilot, they still fly with the computer, and 97% of all accidents are caused by the pilot!
