Good news for those who stay in Thailand for a long time. One of the big annoyances, the 90-day notification, is getting a lot less annoying. From next Sunday, this can be done at every branch of the 7-Eleven. The obligation to provide your address every 90 days does not disappear, but you no longer have to go to an immigration office, with the long waiting times that usually go with it.
The procedure hardly differs from that at immigration. Download the TM47 form and complete the top section completely. Don't forget to bring a passport with a departure card, as well as copies thereof. Instead of the completed lower part of the TM47 form, at the 7-Eleven you will receive a printout from the cash register as proof, in the same way as with the electricity bill. Keep that in your passport, because such a printout will fade under the influence of light, which can cause problems at the next 90-day report.
You can only report to 7-Eleven in the first week of the period in which you are required to report, i.e. from 15 days to 8 days before the 90 days have expired. That's just how the online notification works, or rather, should work. If you are too late, you still have to go to immigration.
And that on April 1
An early April 1 joke!!, if it's true, 7 Eleven is on my corner, saves me 160 km there and back, finally some good news!
A big improvement but…….
What about the data you provide tw
Copy passport
departure card
TM-47 form
And it's free of charge.
1 April
5555
1 April
success
No one can do anything with copies. The form can be downloaded from the website. And then save it to your computer so you only have to print it every 90 days.
Cost? It can never cost more at the 7Eleven than the costs I have to incur now (a courier or even a taxi), not counting the time aspect.
The Best
Can you also just pick up that TM_47 form at immigration?
Then to 7/11?
Yes…I hope it's true…Sunday is April 1st….so watch out.
Maybe for something else.
Funny April Fools joke!!!
Yes completely free of charge and once on April 1…….April 1……April 1…..
April Fool's joke
No early April 1 joke?
Next Sunday it's April 1st......
A coincidence that next Sunday is also April 1
Is this an early April Fool's joke?
Good April 1 joke, editors! Many will fall for it….
From next Sunday? April 1 joke for sure… 😉
I would like to express my gratitude
A few more years and then only the 7-11 and other CP daughters will still exist in this country.
Earlier it was news that you can deposit money into your account via 7 11. Now this. People who work there don't have the qualifications at all. Another bubble but I think that CP is working on a general takeover of power.
And where can you download the TM47 Form?
On your computer, google “immigration thailand” (or Pattaya od)
From April 1st they are next to the eggs at 7-11…….
April 1 joke?
What kind of date would it be Sunday??
Oh yes!, next Sunday, what date was it again?
From that day on you can also apply for a new passport at 7/11 and next year they will sell airline tickets at dump prices. Enter into a deal with China Airlines.
April 1
Did anyone notice the date? Next Sunday (assume they mean next weekend)
I assume that 7/11 will send/bring the copies and TM47 form to immigration. They must have a system for that.
And I don't care if it's free! The 7/11 is right outside my door, I don't have to queue at immigration…
Was this post posted a week early by mistake?
Want to be kept informed
OK!!! As soon as there is another April Fool's joke I will report it immediately........
good thing…LOL
Very handy to do this at Seven Eleven, but next Sunday it's April 1. Good joke by the way!
Ruud
Boy, would this be good news, if it didn't happen to be April 1st.
People who don't visit 7Eleven this coming Sunday, because they really want to go to Immigration, will receive a free oil massage with a happy ending.
And then complain that a 90-day notification is so difficult.
You are also not well informed on Sunday to immigration?
Great news, just got to do my 90 days. So now on April 1 to 7Eleven. That saves a lot of time.
It's getting easier.
Well seen, on April 1th so…
Next Sunday, let that be April 1th.
This Sunday happens to be April 01st.
If this isn't April fish, then it's fantastic news indeed.
Let us hope.
Bona.
Will it come into effect on April 1?
Funny April 1 joke
I say April 1!!!!!!!
April 1 has its victims!
Good find!!!!
Hello, don't post this of course, but this one is strong.. you will actually have to put JCB's on hold for a while, he already betrays it with his ,,lol,,………..I'm so curious about the reactions, lie in a dent. Gr.
It just so happens to be April 1st!
1 april joke?
Sounds almost too good to be true. It's not April 1 today. If it really becomes effective it will make us a lot easier.
You can download the form here
http://immigrationbangkok.com/thailand-immigration-forms/
regards Co
Thanks Co! Now this is service!
Around this time next year you can also do the extension of stay at 7-eleven. Pay 10 baht extra for the service.
Hi,
That saves me 250 km driving, better this
g William
Ever heard of April 1st?
I will also print 30 TM-47 forms for those who do not have a printer. Have to visit someone tonight at the bangkok-pattaya hospital on Sukumvit Road and put them on the counter there tonight. Make 30, but it's gone.
And then you just give your private data into the hands of unauthorized persons?
Have you ever thought about what can happen with copies of your passport and the like in the hands of unauthorized persons.
All of Thailand is poisoned with thoughtless and the most absurdly stupid rules.
You do!
Greets.
Have you ever thought that it will be April 1 in a week???
You can and must!! Make your service number unrecognizable. You can do this, for example, on your PC with the copy ID of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
You can also do it yourself and clearly write 'copy' on the copy, possibly with the name of the addressee.
The copies of passport and other data are also kept at immigration and reused, often for printing on the other side and otherwise for cutting notes. Lie naked in the immigration office.
Every villain can also misuse the data there, or give a stack to a friend.
I always provide copies of my passport with a note that this is exclusively for the use of so and so, with the date. Incidentally, the chance of abuse has been greatly reduced now that the BSN number is printed on a different page in the new passport.
BSN number is NOW on the 1st and 2nd page at the bottom of your photo and personal details at the bottom between all numbers is also your BSN NUMBER.
April 1 joke?
Wasn't that around April 1 last year?
@Alex a beautiful assumption, but do realize that all information about you that is in the passport is voluntarily made available to you. This can sometimes break you up, think of identity fraud.
It would be better if they let it go through amphur
Yes, Emily, you are right. Then better go to immigration, I'm only 10 minutes away...
Have you all looked at the date next SUNDAY EXACTLY APRIL 1st but feel free to stop by they will welcome you warmly.
Succes
April 1st??
It's not necessary for me. I live 8 km from the immigration in Jomtien and whether I'm doing nothing there or somewhere else makes no difference to me.
I have NEVER had to bring copies to immigration for my 90 days so I have no idea where this came from.
What a reaction..... next Sunday is a special date.
Check what date it is Kevin next Sunday
I already knew that Ferry I only responded to bringing copies because from the reactions here there are plenty of those who would go to the 7-11 with enough copies.
That's Kevin because immigration can check later than random checks. Every 7.11 must also scan the forms and copies and forward them to a central control point at the end of the day. They also take a picture of you with the receipt printout, this also for verification. At every 7.11, a number of employees have been trained for this and have become a kind of authorized official. It seems that they can be recognized by a name tag with the date of introduction!
You must submit copies of the .
The first page of your passport.
The page where your retirement is extended to the date.
The page on which your last entry into Thailand is stamped.
The departure card.
At least I have been doing it this way for years.
Jan Beute.
I have to do that in Chiang Mai too. Sometimes copies of all pages are requested and the copy shop is also allowed to earn something there.
In Jomtien you only need to bring your passport. This is scanned and you get
proof for the next 90 days.
I am always out within 10 minutes.
You can even have someone else do it if you're sick or something
works great there
Sorry gentlemen, but here in Hua Hin at Immigration, all you have to do is show your passport. A completed TM-47 form is no longer required here. So I keep going to the Immigration office and after 5 minutes I'm outside again with a new 90-day piece of paper in my passport.
Absolutely nothing in 15 years, never done with 90 days of reporting.
Really super if this were to continue and another super
idea that the precues would go into effect on April 1
Of course I don't buy into that. I am over 65 but my memory
still works very well
Super joke
Could be a good April 1 joke.
Beautiful, especially on that day!!
Dear people, what date is it next Sunday???
Exactly April 1.
Have the Belgians become smarter than the Dutch?…5555….
It is also April 1 in Thailand!
Mmmmmmmm, April Fool's joke?
April 1st joke maybe?
Funny April 1st prank.
7Eleven ?, no way, just do it at home via my computer as always, it couldn't be easier.
Hello Edward
sorry but how is that vua internet
hopefully that's something for us too
Thank you
Robert
I'd like to, but I'd rather hand over the pen to one of the editors here, or one of the specialists on this blog, to avoid misunderstandings, that seems better to me.
Gr. Edward.
Correction, I think that's better.
I think this goes into effect April 1st. Wonderful joke!!!!!!
Because it's the first time, your eggs can be colored for FREE at the cash register before Palm Easter.
Editorial, what source?
It would start next Sunday………on April 1
No April 1st joke??
That is very nice, I would like to read all the comments
Isn't it April 1st next Sunday?
In Phuket you don't have to submit a form, just your booklet and it's free
is also the case in Salanya (Bangkok), my English colleague confirms.
In short: things are different everywhere. Suprised? Oh no?
I don't want to spoil the fun, but next Sunday it's April 1th!
Editors, if you don't want to post this, I understand. Just enjoy the reactions.
Helloooooo…. ever heard of an april fools joke? This js very good! Many have fallen for it. Cheers!
Hallo,
The 90-day notification can also be made via the Internet http://www.immigration.go.th although it didn't work for me last week and I still went to Immigration in Soi 5 in Jomtien where luckily it was my turn almost immediately. By the way, my previous 90-day notification was successful via the Internet.
Best regards. Bz
April 1st?
1e) what copy's for 90 days ??
2e) have you ever looked at the ticket of an Atm after a few days? Became illegible.
3e) what about our reputed sense of privacy?
No, thank you. For me it remains a 3-month trip.
90 km drive: Immigration, Home Pro, Makro and Robinsons where I go for a nice meal.
That's how I think about it, nice trip on his time 555.
Just the same for me, a trip of 45 km, straight to Makro and the other major shops if necessary. Good contact with a pleasant chat with the immigration officer… I've never had a problem with that. In fact, look forward to reporting the 90 days. Always make it a pleasant pleasant day.
Next Sunday it's April 1st folks.
What shall we say about ….. April 1?
I think it's Sunday..... April 1st.
Isn't there such a thing as April 1 jokes?
Maybe read the article carefully and carefully before responding 😉
Coming Sunday....then it's APRIL 1st!!! (I say nothing)
Inquisitor next Sunday.
I just don't understand why they are now outsourcing this to the 7 eleven group again.
In the past there was something like that, if you got into trouble somewhere in Thailand you could ask for help from the 7/11.
And they had to pass it on or report it to the tourist police
Didn't work well.
Usually when you walk into a 7/11, no one understands a word of English.
I doubt this will be a success.
A better solution would have been to report your 90 days to the police station in your immediate vicinity.
Since the local officers often recognize the farangs in their area.
And if anything goes wrong at all with the report to the 7/11, you will have a lot of nagging later on when you extend your retirement.
And then I wonder one more thing , what about the location of the report .
Previously, I always had to report for the 90 days at my own immigration.
Can this now be done in the entire country, so it no longer matters where and in which 7/11 I enter, anywhere in Thailand.
Jan Beute.
I understand your comments Jan Beute. However, the objection that people in the 7Eleven speak almost no English does not matter to me. Apart from the amount you have to pay, they say nothing. Not even against the Thai.
Police station doesn't seem like anything to me either because you will soon get another counter there where you will be helped faster for an extra payment.
I've read that you have to be at a 7Eleven in your own hometown.
I don't believe it, have yet to see it.
The girls (and others) at our seven's know nothing about this.
Dear readers, next Sunday it will be APRIL 1, nice job editors,
kind regards, Pascal Chiangmai
5555555 and early April 1 joke
I see this as a joke that often happens when people want something and then go for it with their eyes open. Will take the long way to Sakhon Nakon again for a 90 day stamp.
From next Sunday, isn't it coincidentally April 1??
5555. Isn't it almost April 1st?
April 1 lol
Early April 1 prank?
You must cross out your citizen service number with every copy of your ID. Only need your name and panummer no more.
I think you are well caught up on April 1
It's April 1st next Sunday
Next Sunday it's April 1, good joke
Almost April 1?
Next Sunday, April 1?
Sunday is April 1 so probably an April 1 joke.
What date is next Sunday
It's Sunday! April…..Wake up
If I understand correctly, there will be an extra counter (7/11) or one or more of the other options will expire, such as via the internet or the immigration visit itself or by post (no earlier than 7 days before the end of the 90-day period).
I use the last option,
send a copy of your personal data sheet from your passport,
copy of your current 90-day strip
copy of your departure card and
copy of your retirement visa from your passport
plus a stamped return envelope with your own address on it.
Send all this to your own Immigration office (in my case Imm Chiangmai)
It seems to me that the Immigration office now also wants to cancel by mail, but I have not read or heard anything about this.
Oh yes, all copies must be signed by me (you).
I'm laughing my ass off that people are falling for this. Do not hope that people will indeed stand on the sidewalk at 7/11 for something that is not explained there. What was the effective date again?
Have you ever heard of an April 1 joke? It strongly resembles that.
So from April 1.
30 comments and only one mentions that next Sunday is April 1st, April 1st, but they probably haven't figured it out yet.
Hello everyone, maybe you haven't noticed yet but next Sunday it's April 1th.
regards,
Ruud
It's funny that this starts on a funny day, but that's no doubt a coincidence.
how early are you this year with your April 1st joke.
a somewhat smart Dutchman will not fall for that.
Carl Kranuan
Ever thought it was Sunday 1 APRIL.
Sunday April 1
Not that damned April Fool's Day again?
Goes into effect as of "next Sunday", I read. What date is it next Sunday? Oh look, April 1st….
It honestly seems like an April 1 joke to me.
Sounds amazing…
In the meantime, has anyone checked what date is next Sunday?
F.
with the new passport your bs number is on the back of the part with your photo on it, so it will no longer be copied
Also on the page where your photo is on, your BSN NUMBER is still at the bottom between all numbers.
Next Sunday it will be April 1st
Next Sunday it's April 1st!!!
hahaha
April 1
Ha Ha Sunday, April 1
It's almost April 1st, I'd almost say……………..
Too good to be true,
I just have to cover 170 km there and back.
Now I had explained my problem to immi years ago and asked can you not send it for a while.
No problem, 1500 bathjes falang, and everything is neatly put in the mailbox.
And I have to say, they're very friendly people there, are you okay, okay.
for my extension, I bundle everything neatly together, they look at it briefly and that's it.
The only thing they look at with a little bit of attention is the passbook.
I always have to go to chaiyaphum.
Well well well…. Early April joke? Coincidentally very close!
Hello dear people
What is the date as sunday?????
'From next Sunday', April 1 of course. Haha funny! This 'joke' has been discussed many times on this website.
April 1 joke
I'm thinking more of an April 1 joke, which was also going around last year.
No copies in jomtien
They only change blue strip with date next time.
Starting Sunday, March 31, go to 1/7 on April 11. 555555
Fun, fun, fun, not everyone realizes that it's next Sunday! APRIL is…..:)
What date is that Sunday?
This new, additional procedure is not yet listed on the website of the Immigration Office in Bangkok.
http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/base.php?page=90days
An early ( good ) April fools joke ????????????
……. fun April 1 joke………;
you should not believe everything that is written here…………….
I'll just stick with immigration. Costs nothing. No copies needed, just passport with old 90 days form. And it's 5 minutes from my house.. They might as well do away with those 90 days.
is a nice, but early April Fool 55.
On Samui it was already possible yesterday at the family market, Homepro, big C, Tesco, and the mom an pop shops. And on Sunday, April 1, also at the 7 eleven. But don't post this.
Coincidentally from April 1??
April 1th this goes in hihihihi
This Sunday it's April 1th.
Greetings.
Sunday …… then it is April 1, right? Everyone wake up.
Damn. I fell for it. 5555
Congratulations editors for these great (170 ) responses to this early April 1 prank.
This shows that Thailand blog is widely read and appreciated!
