    Happy Songkran French
Last year I got to experience it for the first time in Cha-am.
So nice to experience it on video this year. Although I saw many grumpy faces.
But how did you "do it"? With video under a helmet or something? Nice to get clear images.
    Compliment.

Waterproof camera. Otherwise you have a nice damage post.
Only the image stabilization works less well than on my regular camera. That's a bit of a shame. Because you are shaking every now and then when another bucket of ice water has been poured over you. And the lens does not have such a huge zoom range and is somewhat less bright, but that is not a problem for an overview and when it is still light.
It is a Panasonic DMC-FT 30. You can also dive up to 8 meters deep and dropping it once is not immediately fatal, but I have not tried that yet. Looks like an ordinary thing and you can buy it for about € 160.—.
      No regrets.

Each country has its customs and parties, I experienced this 1x in Pattaya, but I didn't mind that throwing that water, fortunately it was over in the evening from 19.00:XNUMX. And Thailand and Pattaya think that is great for a week, but Songkran is not necessary for me, but yes, many Thais I know don't care about carnival, so everyone has their preference.

So nice to see it. Too bad I won't be able to attend this year.
The party of the world for me. What I do regret is that more and more people are working with cannons and also ice water. That could be a little less. (like years ago)

If by the guns you mean the blue PVC pipes I have good news. The import, trade and distribution are now prohibited. There are quite draconian penalties, I believe 5 million Baht or 5 years in prison. You still see them, but much less than a few years ago.
That ice water, that's cold. Gives a startle response for a few seconds. It's nice too.

I used to go to the M/C Songkran every year with my daughter first and then my son, ever since they were babies. In the 70s also occasionally to relatives in Nakhon Sawan. All the old people were lined up and you had to pour water over their hands and ask for their blessing. Water throwing was done on the grounds of the local temple and ice water and white powder were already used then.
There were no water cannons then and drunk Farangs spared no one. As it is now and is being done, it is no longer necessary for me and I no longer participate. What strikes me is that I am already an old man (80) is spared by the Thais, but oh woe, if there are a bunch of idiotic drunk Farangs, you are the cigar. But yes, to each his own.

Song Kran in Pattaya has nothing to do with the real Song Kran in Thailand. Hopefully Prayut also brings back the reality in Pattaya that Song Kran lasts 3 days.
After 1 day you really have had it with that water. If you want you can have a party every day in Pattaya, you don't need an extension of an old Thai tradition for 4 days.

Nice French video by the way!

You don't have to drink alcohol, but it helps tremendously to bring your mind to a level, so that thinking becomes more and more difficult, and you lose sight of what you're actually doing.
It may therefore be my fault, that I spend half a day with this madhouse just to please my wife, and then be glad when we go home.
The whole family is drunk on the back of the pickup, no one can walk straight, let alone say something intelligible, and when they get home they drink even more, because no one knows their limits.
Make Sanoek mak……….so everyone has fun, and can be happy that the whole family is still alive, and that they are not among the 300 deaths that are regrettable every year at this party.
Everyone be fun, maybe as a farang I'm too sober, or unable to drink my mind at the 0 Level.
