Music experience in Pattaya

Last Saturday afternoon we were able to experience a fantastic classic afternoon. A feast of recognition at the Tiffany Theater.

Yes, in the world famous Tiffany theater of Pattaya. This under the inspiring direction of conductor Hikotaro Yazaki from Japan, who initially studied mathematics, but then retrained at the Sophia National University in Tokyo. His further musical education took place in Europe, where he won several awards for his musical activities. He has led many orchestras all over the world.

The program included well-known works by Richard Wagner, Richard Strauss and Bedrich Smetana with the Moldau. The last piece Tijl Uilenspiegel by Richard Strauss was performed from two places, both from the stage where the orchestra sat and from the balcony where a wind ensemble stood.

To my surprise, the world premiere of MLUsni Pramoj was staged on the subject of “Chakri Day”. Sunday, April 7, the Chakri day is celebrated in Thailand where people think of the beginning of the Chakri dynasty in 1782 up to the current king. The first two kings ruled under their own names. Later a name was added, namely Rama. The current king is now Rama IX from 1946 to the present.

The Tiffany Theater always remains a cozy and inviting theater because of its decoration. Beautiful marble stairs with beautiful paintings on the walls and friendly people in neat uniforms who neatly show you the way if necessary.

This is also a side of Pattaya.
