Many know the Walking Street in Pattaya. If not hearsay, then by visiting this famous place yourself. What is the appeal of the Walking Street? What expectations does it raise. Is this a “place to be” or just to have seen it once.

In this street, which is not too long, there are both open and closed places where you can have a drink. In the open places you can watch the public shuffling past and there is often a band that seems to have a patent on volumes. If another occasion further on is of the same opinion, there is no question of quiet intercourse here. In the closed entertainment companies people try to earn more by wearing less clothes. The evenings are also warm in Thailand. In this street there are also a few shopkeepers, where a normal bottle of water can be bought, further on an ice cream parlor and a jeweler. Clothes can also be bought or made here, even in this neighbourhood!

It is striking that shifts are taking place. A number of Russian ladies have also gained a foothold here; apparently there is a market for that. The visiting public is much more Asian, mainly Chinese, who visits this neighborhood in goose stride behind the tour guide armed with a flag. A pre-arranged Go-go club is visited, so that the visitors will have something to say and the tour guide can count his extra baht. If there were no Asian visitors, this street would be quite empty as far as visitors are concerned. It's just like in Paris, you had to visit the Moulin Rouge otherwise you wouldn't really have been to Paris. Here the same phenomenon begins to occur: “Fathered glory” as far as glory can be spoken.

During the day when the glimmer and glitter is gone, this street is not recognized as being the "famous Walking Street". Rather a shabby street at the end of the Beach Road.

Compared to a decade ago, a lot has changed and that's right.
However my favorite bar the TUNA club still exists and you will find me there when in Jomtien am sure every Friday and Saturday.
For me it's nice, casual, good music for me (especially older rock), sorry I'm from the 60s and 70s, so I don't like anything after 1995.
I am also welcome there and have reasonable contact with most of the staff and musicians. Oh, probably because of the tips.
Oh well, an older good number is sometimes worth 100 bath to me.

For the sake of clarity I could have written: “At the end of the Pattaya Beach Road”.

The posting starts with: The Walking Street in Pattaya not Jomtien!

Strange just googling and you know more.
Strange if you expect a review then I assume that you have a map with locations of walking street and surroundings.
