Anti-corruption commission targets Prime Minister Yingluck
After 1 year of investigation, 100 witnesses and more than 10.000 pages of evidence, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has decided to prosecute 15 people for corruption in rice deals and to investigate the role of Prime Minister Yingluck.

ANWB is disturbed by the sharp price increase in passports
The ANWB finds the announced price increase of the passport by 30% disproportionate. The cost price for the government hardly changes: neither the material of the passport itself nor the issuing process will change.

Siege Aerothai uncertain; air traffic is not at risk
Air traffic is not at risk even if the radical protest group NSPRT decides to press ahead with its threat to besiege Aerothai today. The NSPRT seems to want to abandon the siege.
Dutch Embassy: Demonstrations in Bangkok (January 15)

Bangkok Shutdown Kicks Off; the newspaper unpacks: 10 pages
Bangkok Shutdown delivered two surprises yesterday: traffic was half as much as on a normal Monday and the stock market index rose by 2,24 percent to 1.283,76 points. The government seems to be taking a more conciliatory stance, but the protest movement is unyielding.
