In major cities in Thailand there is a 24-hour economy; in rural areas people go to bed at 21.00 pm and get up at 05.00 am. I never understood the fun of that. Maybe it's not hot so early and work can be done.

Last month it was a big holiday in the Thai schools. Just like in Belgium, it is a problem for many parents: what to do with the children? It is not the case that the Thai children can always be dropped off with their grandparents everywhere. Lung addie is a morning person. Up early every morning. The rising sun, a cloudy sky, rain, it doesn't matter much to him. Every new day in the jungle will be a beautiful day, after all, he makes it himself.

Without generalizing, may I say that many Thai people are perverts, without any understanding for the environment. Waste oil disappears without embarrassment into the sewer and bottles, cans and plastic bags go straight over the wall. Which, by the way, is neatly raked on the front….

It's nice weather outside in the evening and I like to go for a walk. Sometimes during this walk I stop at the local karaoke bar, where I treat myself to a refreshing beer.
