Using Monkeys for Coconut Picking in Thailand (Reader's Submission)
I once wrote an article here about PETA's actions against the use of monkeys for coconut picking in Thailand.
Reader submission: Heineken 0.0 and the alcohol ban in Thailand
Heineken non-alcoholic beer has been on sale in Thailand for about three years now. Heineken 0.0 is for sale in almost all supermarkets such as 7-Eleven, Family Mart, Tesco Lotus and Makro, both in bottles and cans.
EVA Air has discontinued premium economy and makes no mention of it (readers' submission)
I've been flying to Thailand with EVA Air for years, I'm a frequent flyer and I've always been very satisfied with this, until now.
Kasikorn Bank app does not work on my new tablet
A few months ago I bought a new tablet in the Netherlands. It became a Samsung Galaxy S8. Almost all apps can be downloaded again. However, the K+ app did not cooperate. So impossible.
September 5, 2022, a “nice” day at Schiphol (readers entry)
I had already booked my flight to Bangkok at the end of May. Via Riyadh. I hoped that the misery at Schiphol would be over after the holiday period. Unfortunately nothing could be further from the truth.
Bank charges for transferring pension to Thailand (readers' entry)
First of all, many thanks to everyone for the many responses to my question about transferring my pension with an extra cost of 15 euros each time. At the same time I also apologize for the (due to personal circumstances) very late response on my part.

Statement of insurance, update/continuation (reader submission)
Many times I have posted about the aforementioned issue and for the loyal reader the issue is sufficiently familiar, namely “The requirement of Thai immigration for a Non Immigrant visa that insured amounts must be stated in a statement of insurance, and the refusal of NL health insurers (with the exception of DSW) to do that”.
Response to the responses to my question regarding reporting falsified pension information (reader submissions)

My view of Thailand begins in this century and a decade or so in the last century. The men who can book twice that amount in years, I suspect, often have a different insight, or get stuck too much in their overall picture.
Travel agencies and airline tickets (readers' submission)
In the fall my wife and I will fly to Thailand and New Zealand for 4 months. Of course we need several plane tickets. Where we booked online ourselves in the past, this time we turned to a travel agency. We had done some surfing beforehand and so we knew approximately what the prices of airline tickets were.

With a full flight BRU-BKK-USM arrived on Koh Samui for the 10th time Thailand for us. Cozy atmosphere in Samui I think about 60% occupancy rate in the hotels. Nice live atmosphere in the bars and restaurants. You can still see many shops that are still closed or are reopening.

After all the negative stories now something positive. Consulted the Schiphol app several times prior to my trip. Almost every time it was reported that I had to take into account very long queues.
Temples in Chiang Rai: White or Blue?
In my opinion, a special temple that is much less known to the average Chiang Rai visitor is the Blue Temple, or Wat Rong Sue Ten. It only opened in 2016. The complex is (and will remain) a lot smaller than the White Temple, and the main color is – you guessed it – a beautiful blue.
