I ended my previous blog on an optimistic note; the Covid epidemic had now entered its final phase, the vaccinations should really have an impact soon. A month later I unfortunately have to admit that I was a bit too positive. Many of you, like me, are in a de facto lockdown.

King's Day 2021 in Thailand

Today is King's Day 2021. As the Dutch embassy in Bangkok, we unfortunately cannot organize physical events due to the Covid 19 situation. However, we would like to share with you a message from Ambassador Kees Rade, followed by our national anthem, performed by Khun Platong, an alumnus, and a greeting from the entire embassy team.

On Tuesday, May 4, the traditional commemoration of the dead due to the COVID-19 pandemic will take place in an adapted form. That day, the embassy, ​​NVT, NTCC and Thailand Business Foundation will lay wreaths at the flag on the embassy compound.
