I ended my previous blog on an optimistic note; the Covid epidemic had now entered its final phase, the vaccinations should really have an impact soon. A month later I unfortunately have to admit that I was a bit too positive. Many of you, like me, are in a de facto lockdown.
Thailand blog regularly devoted attention to the fact that both the Netherlands and Thailand are allowed to levy income tax on social security benefits obtained from the Netherlands, such as the AOW, WAO and WIA benefits. Afterwards, between 15 and 17 p.m., the embassy offers interested parties the opportunity to come by for an individual moment of commemoration, and possibly to lay flowers themselves.

A sector that we unfortunately can not often report on, because Thailand is not on the relevant list of priority countries of The Hague, is that of culture. That is why we were very pleased that no less than two events in the cultural sector took place in March.
If anything has become clear during the information afternoon of the AsiaOne funeral director in Hua Hin, it is that many Dutch/foreigners have questions about the procedure in the event of a death in Thailand. If the course of events before, during and after the cremation is reasonably clear, few people are well prepared for the legal pitfalls and pitfalls upon death.
There will be several Dutch general practitioners of Be Well in Phuket. Then it's Chiang Mai, Pattaya and Koh Samui's turn. This is what Be Well co-founder Haiko Emanuel says at the opening of the new heart clinic in Hua Hin. Phuket has several locations, given the size of the island. Due to Covid-19, the expansion will not start until 2022.
