He had been standing there for a very long time…. so long that no one really knew how long. The very old villagers and those who had died long ago also said that it had been there for as long as they could remember. The tree now spread its branches and its roots over a large area. Over a quarter of the village land there were roots when digging. Its gnarled roots and tangled branches indicated that this banyan tree was the oldest living thing in the village.

There will be several Dutch general practitioners of Be Well in Phuket. Then it's Chiang Mai, Pattaya and Koh Samui's turn. This is what Be Well co-founder Haiko Emanuel says at the opening of the new heart clinic in Hua Hin. Phuket has several locations, given the size of the island. Due to Covid-19, the expansion will not start until 2022.

The performance of Karin Bloemen in the restaurant of the Banyan golf club in Hua Hin on Saturday 27 October was a resounding success. Nearly 140 people celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Dutch Association Thailand Hua Hin-Cha Am this year. Ambassador Kees Rade and second husband Thomas van Leeuwen traveled to Hua Hin with their wives to celebrate this joyous occasion. The Banyan had provided a tasty and extensive Indonesian buffet.
