Degradation of nature in Pattaya East

Slowly but surely, more and more pieces of nature are crumbling due to a certain urge to expand. In an earlier posting we already wrote about the area next to the stadium on Chayapruek ll Road. No announcements are made about the purpose of this area. Perhaps another resort or “entertainment venue” created by Thai-Chinese entrepreneurs for the Chinese.

A new area that is now being "tapped" again is located on the road Chaknork lake towards Huay Yai. The beautiful coconut palms were felled, cassava was simply plowed up. A large part of this area has already been fenced in stone and construction of a road is underway. Another piece of nature, whether or not cultivated by agriculture, disappears. There is no mention of collateral damage. The shrinking of the habitat of a number of animal species proceeds silently to a certain extent, until people are "bothered" by certain animals.

An inverted world, humans encroach on the animal world, which is getting smaller and smaller. It is a logical consequence that in some areas elephants come to villages in search of food.
Unfortunately, this field of tension is likely to increase rather than decrease.

The lack of comments also says a lot about this far from my bed show. We exist because of nature and nature does not exist because of man.

We are guests of Thailand, so our opinion, however well-intentioned, means little or nothing, so responding is pointless anyway. But you are XNUMX percent right about the habitat for the animals.
