Agenda: Football in Hua Hin
This year we are ready for it again: the World Cup 2014 in Hua Hin. Two pleasant long days (5 and 6 December) with amateur football matches between farangs (foreigners) and Thai teams. In the World Cup tournament, about ten countries (nationalities) participate, including a Dutch national team.
The Hua hin football rules:
- Friendly matches so play fair and calm.
- Each team has six players including the goalkeeper. Substitutions are possible.
- Throw in with your hands so don't shoot from the line.
- No offside rules.
- Let the best team win and have fun!
Each player will receive their country's national football shirt and an invitation to the party with dinner on Saturday night. Can you join? Or do you know people who can participate in the tournament? Then let me know asap. We need Dutch players. So even if you are on holiday in Hua Hin, just come and join us!
Also check the website (huahin-football.com) for more information about the tournament and football in Hua Hin. Or come to soi 16 in Hua Hin on a Monday or Friday from 30:18 pm to 00:94 pm. You can also call me mobile on 0855679720.
Thank you and see you in Hua Hin!
Yours sincerely.
Maurice
About seven years ago I was tempted to play in a match between a team from Lamplaimat (my team) and a team from Buriram. Both teams consisted of women and men. I can say one thing, it was fun through and through. Out of respect, we left the scoring to the ladies. The result of this friends match was a draw. Everything happened during a fraternization party between the two places. I was younger then, now I won't/can't start it anymore.
Nice idea and coach this year for the 10th time the Hollands Beach football team on Pattaya, which takes place from December 14 to 21. We do not have a main sponsor yet, but we do have a few small sponsors and are still looking for active and talented football players. Who feels called? Feel free to call me on 0812907310 or email to [email protected] We don't have enough finances to fly in players like in previous years, and every talent or good amateur footballer is welcome. Accommodation can be arranged.
Well Maurice, I will be in Hua Hin in about a week and will certainly come and watch your tournament. I'm Guus Hiddink's age, so I'm more suited to being off the field than on it. So giving up to play isn't going to work. You will not lack coaches. Good luck, but above all, have fun. We'll be there !!

Hi Colin and others,
Everyone welcome! So certainly also players from Pattaya for the Dutch team. We also have some Swedish football players coming from Pattaya to the tournament in Huahin on Dec 5-5. Would a number of Dutch people also want to come to Huahin to play football? Seems fun to me and hopefully we will have a Dutch team this year 🙂
Goodbye and hear,
Maurice
