Approach to the different projects in Pattaya

One of the almost forgotten projects in the city of Pattaya is the construction of the huge stadium in Pattaya East on Chayapruek ll.

Slowly but surely the complex appears above the treetops and can be seen from a great distance in a number of places. Although the stadium should have been finished already, it is wise not to comment on an end date for completion and opening. However, on the connecting road Soi 12 next to the sports field from the Thungklom Tanman to the Chayapruek ll, a huge area has been stripped of trees, shrubs and the like. The ultimate intent was not stated. Perhaps a huge parking lot, possibly another residential park, but an attack on the beautiful nature there, so that many animals such as snakes, frogs and birds get a smaller habitat. Due to other priorities in the city, people don't hear much about this sports complex.

Pattaya Beach

Pattaya Beach gets the dubious honor of being in the negative spotlight. The long-discussed widening of the beach has still not succeeded; the pollution cannot be controlled satisfactorily. In short, a headache file for which no solution is yet available. This in contrast to the Dongtan Beach where large trees have now been planted. A very nice renovation, which gives the coast there a certain allure. Especially for visitors who have not known this area before. My personal opinion, for what it's worth, the cozy atmosphere has disappeared due to the original vegetation. A matter of habituation!

If you drive from Thappraya Road, turn right to Jomtien Beach, then right in the bend at the police station is the beginning of Dongtan Beach, where you can turn right and walk along the road along the beach.

Indeed it looks neat with the planted trees. But I'm not sure if it's an improvement. Previously a quiet beach with lots of greenery, wonderful! I fear that this will soon be over when I see the wide two-lane track that will probably be extended further. Result smelly and noisy cars in your back on this until-yet-rested beach. Goodbye quiet beach and hello polluting car.
We are not even talking about the increasingly polluted sea right in front of you. Very unfortunate.

Completely agree with the above. It is only 1 kilometer of improvement, then the narrowed old road follows. And where will they park those cars and mopeds? Do we now also get those parked cars with open doors and very loud music, well music?, in the evening and night, as is well known, at Jomtien Beach? The engines are already racing all day long. Done with the rest.
