You have eight days to deal with KLM fly directly to Bangkok with an attractive discount on the price of a return ticket. This is how you book a direct flight to Bangkok from € 546

Don't wait any longer because the choice of departure dates is getting less and less. You can still book until 26 January 2015. KLM flies weekly with 5 flights from Schiphol directly and without a stopover to Bangkok. The flight departs at 17:50 PM on Mon – Wed – Thurs – Fri – Sun. The average travel time is 10 hours and 45 minutes.

On all KLM intercontinental flights (ie outside Europe) you have been able to opt for seats with more legroom for some time now. These seats are marketed by KLM as Economy Comfort seats and are located in the front of the Economy cabin. The advantage here is that the seats are on average 10 cm further apart, which significantly increases the legroom. Another point is that the seat can go a lot further back. Especially on long flights, this extra space gives you just a little more freedom of movement. This allows you to arrive at your destination a little more rested.

The surcharge that KLM applies varies per destination and ranges from €60 to €150 per single flight. From Amsterdam to Bangkok you pay € 150 extra. Holders of a Flying Blue card with Elite status receive a discount on these seats: Silver -25%, Gold -50% and Platinum -100%. Elite members of other Skyteam partners (for example, those of Delta Air Lines) may also order these seats at a discount.

if I want to fly directly from Bangkok to Koh Samui, how much time should I leave between landing (6.45 hours) and booking the onward flight, taking into account the suitcase, walking to the correct departure hall, etc? And if I have a delay and miss my booked flight, will it be booked? Wondering if anyone can help me with this information.
    Greeting!

Roughly count on 1,5 to 2 hours between landing, immigration, customs, walking to the domestic terminal and checking in (on time) with another airline.

If you miss your flight to Koh Samui due to a delay, you're out of luck. Unless you fly to Koi Samui with the same airline and that is only possible with THAI. If you fly with China Airlines, for example, they are not liable for "consequential damage" in the event of any delays.

I do think that you calculate with very little time.
I count 3 minutes for you to have your suitcase.
1 minutes to get to the desk in the departure hall.
        15 minutes to check in.
15 minutes to get through security.
15 minutes to be at the gate, where you will not board the plane again.

I miss the word "from" in the title.
If, for example, I want to leave on 23/1 and return on 22/2, I 'just' arrive at € 868.73.
