'Nice all those offers with cheap tickets to Bangkok but almost always outside the summer season in the Netherlands.' That's right, but not at Etihad.

You can fly from Dusseldorf to Thailand in July for a very nice rate. Because this is really a clearance of the last seats at the lowest prices. Etihad and airberlin fly to Bangkok from Dusseldorf at the beginning of the summer and you can now take advantage of that! It is quick and easy to return to the Netherlands with NS Hispeed from Düsseldorf. You can already buy a ticket for € 19. Add it to the ticket price and it is still much cheaper than to do Amsterdam there and back. So take advantage again before this promotion is over!

Without wanting to judge Etihad directly but as bad because would do it again in a heartbeat because cheap yes certainly but afterwards don't complain about little legroom, narrow aisles, food/drinks, etc. It can also be stated that most flight attendants are really not slimmer than their KLM- colleagues. ;)Incidentally, on the route AUH-BKK vv there were also Thai flight attendants, that is.
Moreover, if you are unlucky, you will be crammed into an outdated AirBerlin aircraft on DUS towards AUH and or vice versa on seats with sagging cushions, some things are, so to speak, not yet held together with screws and wire.

It is a pity that here too, the summer holidays in most of the Netherlands do NOT start on July 2 and 4, but a week later.
And then you just pay the main price.

Fly with Etihad a few times now and have to say: fine. Completely foreign crew, the sizes don't really interest me because it's not a modeling contest. I think the A330 and 777 have the same configuration as GA, for example. With the 777 I find aisles and legroom the same as anyone else… (I don't have a ruler with me though) air Berlin is a low-cost carrier and the service is less than at Etihad, but I still get my bowl of food and glass of drink. Beers for free, by the way. Legroom there fine and the seat has not noticed me. Idd for that price (between 430 and 520) just do it. Stretch your legs in AUH. Incidentally, and unlike my other favorite Eva Air, you simply save miles with the cheap tickets at Etihad. The 200 euros I save will give me extra days in Thailand….
