Yesterday the Global Sale started at airberlin. Discounted airline tickets can be booked up to and including 1 February, including to Asia.

Most flights of the German airline depart from Düsseldorf Airport. At airberlin, 23 kilos of checked baggage and on-board service are included in the price on long-haul flights.

With partner Etihad Airways, the airline offers various destinations in Asia via Abu Dhabi, including Bangkok (from 460 euros), Phuket (from 510 euros) and Singapore (from 514 euros). The prices mentioned are starting prices and apply to a return flight. You can fly from 1 to 17 March and 4 April to 30 June.

Transport to airport

You can park near Düsseldorf Airport from 39 euros per eight days. Düsseldorf Airport is also easily accessible by train. From 38 euros (return ticket) you can travel from any station in the Netherlands to the airport.

Tickets can be booked through travel agencies, the Dutch site www.airberlin.com/globalsale or by telephone on 0900 737 8000.

Etihad, Airberlin's partner, has also started a global sale.

    It seems to be related.

Etihad sells tickets from Amsterdam to Bangkok from 499 euros.

Personally, I prefer to fly with Etihad. I particularly dislike the very short legroom at Airberlin. I am 190 cm.
