Since November 1, EVA Air's baggage allowance has been increased by ten kilos for all travelers on flights between Europe and Asia. The increase applies to both already booked and new passengers.

Passengers traveling in Economy Class are allowed to take thirty kilos of luggage with them from the date mentioned. Travelers in the Elite Class (premium economy) are allowed to take a total of 35 kilos of luggage and travelers in the Royal Laurel Class can now take XNUMX kilos of luggage.

The expansion of the baggage allowance applies to all EVA Air flights, provided that the reservation was made in Europe and that the journey starts in Europe. In addition, the extension applies to travelers who use an onward flight with another airline traveling to or from the points of departure in Europe, but also within Asia, provided that this takes place within 24 hours of arrival. Travelers who have made a reservation in Thailand and are traveling to Europe can also use the new exemption.

Then it is of course still important to make sure that any subsequent flight has the same exemption.
Otherwise it can turn into an expensive joke.

A matter of good reading! It also says that this also applies to the transit flights. Pffff

In Thailand, Eva only has share code with Bangkok Airways.

    Dear editors,

this is not entirely true, tickets bought before November 1 in Thailand also get the 30 kg baggage allowance!

For newcomers with EVAair, pay attention to the 7 kg hand luggage when checking in (laptop or tablet is allowed extra), in the Netherlands they are strict, in Bangkok a lot less.

    Sincerely,
    Willy

Any additional costs you pay in Bangkok are approximately 100 Bath per kilo.
So very little, Euro 2,50 per kilo.
Last November-December flew with China Air and had 25 kilos of luggage.
This was 5 kilos too heavy for the domestic flight with Bangkok Airways.
    So paid 500 Bath.
Peanuts if you compare this with the Netherlands.

That's good news, that fiddling with less and less kilos hope that more will follow.
