Nok Air will start scheduled service from Bangkok to Bangkok early next year Krabi resume, writes Bangkok Post.

After a six-year hiatus Nok Air regain its market share on this route. From January 2014, the budget airline will operate flights to the southern province twice a day. This brings the airline's number of domestic destinations to 22. Nok Air is based at Don Mueang, Bangkok's second airport.

Unlike a few years ago, air traffic to Krabi is no longer seasonal. Tourists fly to this destination all year round, with the peak being November and April. This is the main reason for Nok Air to return to Krabi. In addition, the capacity of the airport has been expanded.

Krabi has already been served by a number of Thai airlines, including Thai Airways International and its budget subsidiary Thai Smile. But Bangkok Airways and Thai AirAsia also fly daily to Krabi.

Nok Air will fly from Don Mueang to Krabi twice a day at 10:10 AM and 17:15 PM. Arrival times in Krabi are 11:30 AM and 06:30 AM. We fly with a B737 – 800 (189 seats).

Airline tickets are available for 1.299 baht (one way inclusive of all fees).
