If I look at Emirates, the costs are Euro 691,00 per ticket, those of Eur 506,00 are certainly already gone.??

Emirates flies from Geneva to BKK and back to Dusseldorf for €380,- minus code booking Bonus= €25,- = then €355,-, plus single ticket AMS to Geneva with low cost = €39,- + single train from Dusselddorf to e.g. Utrecht is € 19. In total, the return ticket AMS – BKK – DUS costs only € 418. Transfer = 3x, namely in Geneva + 2 X Dubai. Can it be even cheaper?
He who does not want to transfer, pays approx. AMS-BKK return € 725,-. , so a meager € 307 extra and, however, arrives in Bangkok on the same day.

When I look at emirates I see the price but on August 4 departure it is 845 euros to Bkk
Help, only 1 more day I could book for that cheap price!

You have to look at emirates yourself

There is an error in the booking system for this promotion. This is not the first time at Emirates.
Pay attention. it only applies to flights from Dubai with the number EK. 370 and 377. These are unpopular flights due to. with the arrival times in BKK.
Secondly, you can only stay for 1 month after you landed. I have tested the offer. Starts 18 Nov. AMS to BKK and back on 18.02 to AMS. Price: €506,19. That's right. However, that is 3 months and therefore 2 months longer if the offer is fulfilled. So that's not true again

I just booked through the page linked above. That's fine. You can indicate with your choice of date that you want to select by price, or with flexible dates. If you choose price, you will only receive the prices for the days you have chosen. It may be that there is no longer a ticket available for that price. If you choose flexible dates, you will see when you can still book for that price. Obviously those are not the most convenient times, but you do save a lot (and flying with Emirates is still one of the most comfortable ways as far as I'm concerned. After my sandwich-between-the-seat flight with Etihad / Air Berlin, I'm happy to have another device with legroom).

      Success.

It is good of the editors that they draw our attention to offers from airlines for tickets to Bangkok, but it strikes me that every week there is actually a plane ticket for a cheap price with the message that you have to book quickly, because the offer is only valid for a limited time. Etihad and Emirates are frequently featured, but Jet Air, Air Berlin and our own KLM also regularly stunt with their prices. Last month you could book a direct ticket to Bangkok with KLM for €503 and last week, during the KLM 5-day event, the price was also low, namely €599. China Airlines, which I regularly use, had not advertised so prominently, but I was also able to book a direct ticket there last month for €553. I just mean to say that you shouldn't be so quickly overwhelmed by all those offers. Decide for yourself when and whether you want to fly with or without a stopover. I assume that fortunately there will be many more offers from the various airlines in the near future. Have a nice flight for all travelers!

Cathay Pacific also has offers booking until July 12th. For December with a stopover in Hong Kong on the way back 775,00 euros. Reasonable and the places are spacious as with KLM. Only now I'm waiting for offers from hotels in Thailand because our hotel only had a single room.
And the difference with another hotel this morning was 20 euros. The same hotel so be patient.

There are dozens of sites with hotels to kiss and color in Thailand, for example. Easy to book from your sofa at home with a credit card and the voucher is on your PC within a minute. Print out the voucher and bring it with you and hand it in at the hotel desk. That was it. Where's the problem?

        • Christina says up

Rebel, I know how the work I meant by that I was looking at the prices in the morning and had to consult with my husband and that then everything was considerably more expensive.
Everything is cheaper on a weekday than on the weekend. We also know and that is not meant to be that there are many hotels, but we have our preference for location.
In Chiang Mai we like to stay with our Thai friends because we do things together.

I agree with you in principle, but what you say is not quite right. Not Thailandblog is late with it, or their booking time is short, but the offers are deliberately kept short by the airliners. You can't blame TLB for that, but rather yourself. You can subscribe completely free of charge to almost ALL airlines, who will then send you a free E-mail with their recent offers. Then you will be informed as quickly or faster as TLB.

But it can be linked with offers for eg TV or washing machine. If you have a good TV and w-machine your offers are not interesting. It's the same with airliners. If I don't want or can't fly in September, for example, their offer doesn't interest me either, as if it were only € 250 for a return ticket to Bangkok in September.

The second point is that airliners want to fly with FULL planes. If their booking PC says that on paid times this is not the case, a promotional offer will be made for this period, until the time the planes are fully occupied again.
There have been periods in the past when you could get an -empty- seat at the airport shortly before departure for a reasonable amount that you could imagine yourself. Under the motto, better collect half price, if flying empty, the seat was yours.

Dear Rebell, I did not blame Thailand Blog at all! On the contrary, just praised Thailand Blog for bringing cheap ticket offers to our attention. Just noticed that the airlines try to entice you to buy a ticket by allowing a very limited time of booking. Logical from their point of view to sell as many tickets as possible. In addition, I have also noted that there are regular promotions of cheap tickets and, since there is a lot of competition on flights to Bangkok, I think that there will be no less offers in the near future, which of course only benefits the Thailand traveler is.

Thailandblog simply shows what is possible. If you really want to score a cheap ticket, you have to do it yourself every day. Looking, probing, visiting various websites, etc. I didn't know what an open jaw was. I now remember thanks to Thailandblog. I regularly fly with Emirates and if I want to fly a lot of A380s on the Bangkok route, I often have to look for more money in my wallet. Or switch to the quieter days of the week. Because that also saves money.
