The budget airline Thai AirAsia will offer flights from Hua Hin to Udon Thani and Chiang Mai from Friday, April 2, 2021.

Tourists can travel again after scaling down the Covid-19 measures. In addition, more tourists are expected to travel during the upcoming Songkran holiday season.

The Hua Hin – Udon Thani flight departs Hua Hin every Friday and Sunday at 11.30:12.55am arriving in Udon Thani at 13:25pm. The return is every Friday and Sunday at 14:40 PM from Udon Thani arriving at Hua Hin at XNUMX:XNUMX PM.

The Hua Hin-Chiang Mai flight departs Hua Hin on Friday and Sunday at 15:10 PM with a landing at 16:10 PM in Chiang Mai. In Chiang Mai, the plane departs at 10.00 a.m. and lands in Hua Hin at 11.00 a.m. on Friday and Sunday.

The Ministry of Transport announced in 2019 that Hua Hin Airport would be expanded to handle more international and domestic flights. The expansion includes the construction of a new airport terminal and an extended runway. As a result, the number of flight movements can more than double and the number of passengers triple.

Work is expected to be completed in 2022. The airport expansion is part of the upgraded infrastructure for the “Thai Riviera” project, which aims to promote tourism along Thailand's approximately 220km coastline on the Gulf of Thailand.

Seems like a very good initiative, especially with the corona restrictions, it will be a bit easier for tourists
