Dear Ronnie,

I have an annoying question about 800.000 baht that must be deposited, and 65.000 baht income that must be proven. My question is, are those the same rules if you have a daughter with a Thai nationality and married to a Thai?

Dear Long John,

Married to a Thai is 400 Baht or an income of 000 Baht. If you have a Thai daughter, the same conditions apply.

However, she must not have reached the age of 20 and she must officially live in Thailand and under your roof. You will of course also have to prove that she is officially your daughter.

These are broadly the conditions, but for details it is best to visit immigration.
