Questioner: Rudolf Coene

Concerns notification obligation at immigration 60 days Thailand. I am going to Thailand for 60 days. I have a travel schedule. Arrival at Suvarnabhumi on October 5, then I will stay 1 night in a hotel near DMK. The next day I go to my girlfriend in Loei for 9 days.

We then have a full itinerary to Chiangmai, Hua Hin and Jomtien from October 15. We stay in hotels and finally in a rented condo in Jontien for 34 days, until December 02. Then I will go back to the Netherlands.

My question, do I have to report to immigration in Loei that I am staying with my girlfriend in Loei for 9 days? And if so, is there an immigration office in Loei at all.

I'd like to hear from you.

As a tourist you don't have to do anything yourself. Officially, the person responsible for the address should report you in Loei. There is an immigration office there http://loei.immigration.go.th/index.php/th-th/

Your decision of course what you do, but I wouldn't worry too much about that for those 9 days. You are not going to extend anything or anything so normally you will not come into contact with immigration during your stay…
