Is it possible to apply for a tourist visa for visiting family from abroad via the E-visa system of the Thai embassy in The Hague? I am traveling from Taiwan and also returning to Taiwan after 7 weeks.
According to the website it is not possible, but maybe there is a way.
I also wonder if I can find a sample letter of the invitation letter somewhere.

According to the website, the applicant must indeed be in the Netherlands itself.
Perhaps a VPN is a solution.
“Nationals of the Netherlands who are currently in Thailand or outside of the Netherlands cannot apply for e-Visa with the Embassy. They must first return to the Netherlands before applying.”

But you can also always leave on Visa Exemption. You can also extend it in Thailand by 30 days. However, also keep in mind that people can look at your ticket. This does not only happen in Europe. Possibly take a ticket that you can easily and cheaply change.
