Is it still possible to obtain (buy) an extension of 30 days from an immigration office after 14 days (free tourist visa)?

The Visa Exemption still exists and is currently even 45 days. An extension of your stay is also available and is normally a one-off 30 days and costs 1900 Baht.
Currently there is a Corona measure that allows immigration officers to grant an extension of 60 days several times. This measure will run until July 29. It remains to be seen whether this measure will be extended again.
