Questioner: Theo

I read a lot about annual extension, but what if my wife and I want to extend it with a maximum of 90 extra days on the basis of non-immigrant O -90 days. Is that possible and how does that work? Immigration office is on Koh Samui.

A stay period of 90 days obtained with a Non-immigrant O cannot be extended by 90 days.

Only with:

– 60 days if you are married to a Thai or have a Thai child. No financial requirements then.

– 1 year as “Retired”, are married to a Thai or have a Thai child. There are financial requirements.

This in normal circumstances, but currently there is still the possibility to request a so-called Corona extension of 60 days. You can even ask several times in succession and currently this is still possible until May 29th. Someone who requests this on the last day can stay that way until July 29th.

Maybe you can take advantage of this while you can.
